How Important Is Greywater In Terms of Water Efficiency?

GRS Watersave Filter System PDF Print E-mail
The GRS Watersave Filter System is used to filter greywater from only one source. In most cases this will be laundry water, but it is possible to filter bathroom water. However, each source must have its own filter system, which incorporates a safety overflow device to the existing sewer or septic tank system should a blockage occur.

    * GRS In-line Filter - $253 inc GST (postage/delivery extra)
Drain The GRS Filter is designed to replace the settling or sedimentation tank, which can also be used in greywater recycling. Clients have the option of a settling tank or the filter system for their greywater dispersal system. Upon inspection of a site, the filter system may be the only option due to restrictions of space and access to build an appropriate greywater reuse system. It has an 8 L surge capacity. Includes two filter bags and wall mounting bracket.

    * Filter Bag - $19.80 inc GST
Filter Bag The Special 200 µm filter bag is used inside the filter body to remove lint, hair and soil. A UV-stabilised ball valve enables the householder to manually turn on or off the diversion capacity. After filtration, the greywater is then passed into the subsurface drain system where it can be absorbed by plants. Greywater from the laundry and/or bathroom can pass through the needlefelt filter bag to remove lint, hair and soap before flowing into the dispersal area. A filter reduces the risk of the draincoil blocking.
